On Monday 9th

-          Tisbury Footpath Maintenance Team will meet at 9:30am to improve footpaths in Tisbury and the surrounding area. You don’t have to be a member of the Footpath Club to join in; if you want to take part contact Roger Walker on 07891 442664.

On Tuesday the 10th

-          At 9am the Tisbus weekly shopping run to Salisbury will pick members up from your door and return you afterwards. Call coordinator Dave Milas on 07500 802525 for details about joining.

-          The weekly term-time toddler Rhymetime begins at 11am at Tisbury Library in the Nadder Centre

-          The Fonthill Park Cricket Club have weekly indoor nets practice sessions at the Nadder Centre 7:30-9pm until the end of March, adults £5, juniors £3 payable on the night

-          Tisbury History Society monthly meeting will be at 7:30pm at Hinton Hall when Maxwell Steer will talk about his relative “Kitty Stephens, a life in eighteenth century theatre”

 

On Wednesday the 11th

-          The Tisbury Memory Group have their Pop Up Cafe in the Small Hinton Hall from 10-12

-          The Hindon & the Fonthills WI will be meeting (possibly for the last time) at 2pm in the Hindon Village Hall, with a talk about “Ghosts in Salisbury”, visitors welcome for £5.

 

On Thursday the 12th

-          Dr Kinlin will be holding her monthly focus session at 4pm at Dinton Village Hall, this month the topic is headaches

-          Tisbury Natural History Society have their monthly meeting at the Victoria Hall at 7:30pm, with a speaker from Wiltshire Bats

-          Tisbury Community Choir weekly rehearsals take place from 7:30-9:30pm at the Methodist Church, you can join a rehearsal for free to try it out.

 

Then on Friday the 13th

-          There will be a Tisbury Carnival AGM meeting at 7pm in the Hinton Hall. They are particularly looking for volunteers to take on specific areas of organising for this year’s carnival.

-          Riverbarn Kitchen in Fonthill Bishop have a St Paddy’s Day Celebration 5-9pm, with a Ceili Band, tickets £35, which includes entry and a delicious meal, licensed bar open throughout.

 

On Saturday the 14th

 

-          StarFest starts with two films in the Victoria Hall – Muppets from Space at 10am and Close Encounters of the Third Kind at 7:30pm, you can book on the StarFest webpage on the Parish Council website.

-          The St John Singers Choral Concert will be at 7:30pm at St Johns Church Hindon singing choral music for Lent.

-          The Chilmark Reading Room Quiz & Supper will be held at 7pm. Tickets £15 per person, which includes the usual challenging questions plus lasagne and home-cooked puddings. Call Alison Whipp-Long on 07854 550363 to book individually or for teams of up to 6.

On Sunday the 15th

-          There will be a StarFest Mothering Sunday service at 9:30am at St Johns Church Tisbury, with a star-themed activity for children and posies to give to loved ones.

-          Later that day there will be a StarFest Choral Evensong titled ‘Creator of the Stars of Night’ at 6pm also at St Johns Church Tisbury.

-          A Seventh Art documentary about Turner and Constable will be shown at Victoria Hall at 4pm and 7pm. Go to newvictisbury.com for details and tickets.
