-          The Tisbury Carer Cafe will be at Harry’s on the Square from 10:30am-12pm, pop along to chat and connect with other unpaid carers.  

-          Messums are running May half-term workshops inspired by the Forest Cathedral exhibition, for children age 12+ from 10:30am-4pm, also on Saturday 30th. Book online at messumscreative.com and pay what you can.

-          Tisbury Footpath Club have a 4 mile evening walk around the Fonthill Estate, meet at 6:10pm in Nadder Close car park or 6:30pm at the start by Fonthill

-          Tisbury Flower Group meet in Hinton Hall, at 7pm with a demonstration by Melanie Smith of floral arrangements titled ‘Pretty as a Picture’.

-          The monthly Green Drinks is at 7:30pm in the back room of the Boot Inn, this is an informal social gathering to chat about environmental issues.

 

On Wednesday the 27th

-          There will be a Half-term Fun, Play and Crafts session at the Methodist Church from 10-11:30am, best suited for children up to 12.

-          Tisbury Memory Group meet from 10am-12pm at Hinton Hall, for a morning with Chico; singing, dancing and sharing stories.

 

On Thursday the 28th

-          The monthly RNID Near You: Hearing Aid Support session will be at the Methodist Church from 10-11:30am.

-          Messums have the first in a series of talks by art historian Sara Radice, titled “Not So Silent!” Exploring Places Of Delight, from 6-7pm. Tickets £15 for adults and £8 for children, suitable for ages 10+. More information and book at messums.org.

-          Dr Kinlin’s focus session on anxiety and depression will be at Fovant Village Hall from 4-5pm

 

Then on Friday the 29th

-          The Methodist Church have their Family Friday session from 3:30-5pm with crafts, games, toys and food for children age 0-12 and their parents.

-          It’s Friday Night Jazz: an Afternoon in Paris at 7:30pm in Victoria Hall, tickets from newvictisbury.com

 

On Saturday the 30th

 

-          Age Wiltshire have a summer social with a Salisbury Big Band concert, dancing and afternoon tea for all ages at Dinton Village Hall from 3.30-5.30pm. This is a free event, but please book with Val O’Keefe on 07719 419232.

In this imaginative session, young creatives will explore the beauty and mystery of forests—towering trees, dappled light, and hidden pathways—just like those found in Forest Cathedral.

 

On Sunday the 31st

-          Tisbury Natural History Society will be enjoying a guided visit to Coombe Bissett Down nature reserve, leaving at 9:30am from Nadder Centre car park, visit tisburynaturalhistory.com for more details, £4 for guests and free for members and under 21s.

-          East Knoyle Fun Fair and Dog Show will be at Upper Leigh Farm from 11am-5pm, with the show starting at 2:30pm.

Looking ahead

-          There will be a free Baby Massage Class at Tisbury Library from 4th June to 2nd July at 1:30-2:30pm, for some quality baby and parent time. To book your space please call 0800 970 4669.

-          On Friday 5th June Tisbury based PlayGC Theatre company is performing the award winning show Glory of the Garden at historic Bonham Manor, just south of Stourhead, at 6.30pm in aid of MND Association. -          Saturday 13th June is the Tisbury Village Fete and Dog Show from 12:30-4pm at the football ground, with a bouncy castle, raffle, face-painting, food and drink, football contest, gymnastic and dance displays, classic cars and community stalls. Free entry but donations welcome.

-          Celebrate the magic of the Summer Solstice with an evening of flower arranging, wine, and gardens at Fonthill House on Thursday 18th June from 5:30-7:30pm. £95 per person, spaces are limited, book by 5pm on 5th June, by contacting Vicky Macaskie on 01747 820 246.
