 | Monday 19 | ·         It’s cold outside and if you need a place to warm up with some heat, a hot drink and a bit of company, Tisbury Parish Council is running a Warm Spaces initiative up at the Nadder Centre on Monday’s and in the Methodist Hall on the High Street on Fridays, from 9.30am-12.30pm.  It’s all free to local residents and there’s board games, cards, puzzles, free wifi, hot showers and helpful energy cost-savings advice from the Nadder Community Energy Team.  ·         Tiz’Berries Community Larder at the Youth Centre is now open Monday to Saturday from 9.30 until 2pm. If you need warm clothing or groceries, it’s right behind Tisbury Swimming Pool.  The Larder is also looking for donations to keep it stocked with tins of food, tasty treats, toiletries, winter clothing and blankets.
| Tuesday 20 | There’s a foodbank food collection box in Tisbury at the Co-op. Donations of non-perishable food that’s suitable for including in emergency food parcel are desperately needed. Pet food, nappies and toiletries are also needed. 
| Wednesday 21 | Free logs and kindling for local people and families in need.  If you’d like some, contact jaki@seedsforsuccess.org.uk
| Thursday 22 | On Thursday, 22 December, join 200 voices and the Woodfalls Band for a carol singing event at the barn in Messums. This is a free event open to everyone. Just bring your voice and best Christmas wishes and help us raise money for Tisbury Fire Service. The bar at the back of the barn gallery will be serving rolls, mulled wine and mince pies. Also, cottage/veggie pies will be served in the coffeehouse from 5pm. The restaurant will be open from 5pm, booking is essential! Contact: www.messumswiltshire.com 
| Friday 23 | ·      It’s Christmas at Tisbury Fire Station from 3-6pm on Friday, and there’s lots to see and do starting with The Fire Equipment Challenge and Christmas decoration, a Treasure Hunt and most importantly a visit to Santa’s Grotto. It’s £2 entry and all proceeds go to a very worthy cause, the Firefighters Charity.
| Saturday 24 | Saturday, 24 December is Christmas Eve and the start of a busy weekend for our local churches as the Christian celebration of the birth of Christ begins:
  ·       At 4pm at St John’s, there’s a special Crib Service for children with the Christmas Story and carol singing. Come dressed as a Nativity Character.  St John’s also has a Christmas Eve Communion service at 10pm with the choir and carol singing with Rev. Juliette Hulme. ·     At the Sacred Heart Catholic Church there’s carols at 5.30pm and Christmas Mass at 6pm. ·    Well of course, Christmas eve is also Santa’s big night and I know all the girls and boys in Tisbury are getting pretty excited. If you want to know exactly what time Santa will be flying over Tisbury, you can track him on the NORAD website, (the North American Defense Command). | Sunday 25 | ·      On Christmas Day, there’s a Holy Mass at 9am at the Sacred Heart and 11am at Wardour. ·      St John’s Christmas Celebration is at 9.30am with Rev Juliette Hulme. ·      And at 9.45am, Tisbury Methodist Church is celebrating Christmas with Rev Denise Binks leading the service.  HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
