| Monday 6 | · Right, this is important, there’s only three days left to donate to Tisbury Parish Council’s Protect Tisbury Crowdfund which is £400 short of the £15k needed to pay legal fees to stop the Station Work developers pushing through their plan to build 86 houses, an unwanted care home and blocking off one arch of the railway bridge. | Tuesday 7 | · Tisbury Youth Club gets together on Tuesday from 5-7pm at their clubhouse up behind the Swimming Pool for ages 10-18. | Wed 8 | · Don’t forget during March there’s a Lenten Lunch every Wednesday at 12 noon in the Methodist Hall on the High Street. The lovely Ladies of Tisbury will be serving up homemade soup, bread and cheese. It’s all free but donations to Salisbury Hospice are welcomed.
| Thursday 9 | · Tisbus has a shopping trip to Warminster on Thursday. There’s also a trip next Wednesday, 15 March to the Whitchurch Silk Mill heritage Museum and lunch at Dobies Garden Centre in Andover. | Saturday 11 | · The Young Nature Watch branch of Tisbury Natural History Society are doing a dung beetle survey on Saturday, 11 March at 10am. More info at Tisburynaturalhistory website. · If you love 60s and 70s rock and roll and fancy a bit of dancing, local band RockForte are back on Saturday night in the Victoria Hall a fun evening of old favourites – from Elvis Presley and the Beatles to Billy Joel and The Eagles. It’s a great night out for a great cause – keeping our much-loved Victoria Hall going in the community. Doors and a great bar open at 6.45pm. Music starts at 7pm. | Sunday 12 | · At the New Vic@Tisbury on Sunday, The Magic Lantern Film Club is showing compelling true-story of one of Britain’s most talented yet unknown landscape artists Eric Ravilious who was killed in a plane crash over Iceland while on commission as a WW2 artist there.
