What’s On in Tisbury and the Nadder Valley

Week Beginning Monday 19th June 

 

This week kicks off with the Nadder Community Land Trust AGM taking place on Monday 19th at 7pm in the Tisbury Parish reading rooms

 

On Tuesday 20th at 6.30pm the Tisbury Footpath club evening walk starts from The Square in Tisbury.  Contact Paul Naish if you want to book a place on p.naish@btinternet.com.  

 

The Tisbus outing on Wednesday the 21st will visit the Hauser & Wirth art gallery in Bruton leaving at 9.30am for more information go to www.tisbus.co.uk

 

10am-12noon on Wednesday 21st, the Tisbury Memory group, that we featured here on TisTalk last week, will meet in the Hinton Hall.

 

Meet at the Nadder Centre Car Park at 9.30 for an excursion to see butterflies at Ryewater Nursery on Friday 23rdwith the Tisbury Natural History Society. Numbers are limited - go to their website www.tisburynaturalhistory.com for more information.

 

OnFriday 23rd and Saturday 24th June there is a Concert for Ukraine in St John’s Church, Tisbury, both starting at 7.30pm on both nights.  This is in support of Christian Aid’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.  On Friday the concert will be chamber music featuring Russian/Ukrainian pianist Alexander Karpeyev and violinist Bill Benham, playing works by Beethoven, Debussy, Poulenc and Arnold.  On Saturday it is an orchestral concert conducted by Jeremy Barlow with flautists Quentin Edwards and Cheri Wallace, playing works by Bach, and Handel.

 

On Saturday 24th be there for 7pm starting at 7.30pm a live showing of Fleabag from the National Theatre go to the New Vic Tisbury website for tickets.

 

Also on Saturday 24th, the Chilmark Church Fete takes place at The Old Rectory in Chilmark from 2.30 to 4.30pm with teas, cakes, raffle, skittles, Pimm’s, ice-cream, games and much more…
